Autonomic system after SCI

After spinal cord injury (SCI) at T6 or above the messages from the brain to the sympathetic nervous system are affected. The messages cannot pass across the damage in the cord but the crisis is detected through the baroreceptors in the carotid sinus and aortic arch.
